We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products but the definition will depend on a number of factors including, but not limited to, your computer display settings. All sizes, colours and measurements are approximate.

ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS

All prices appearing on this website are correct at the time of entering the information on to the website. The price of goods may be changed by us at any time. We will never change a price so as to affect the price charged to you at the time when you buy those goods.
The price of the goods does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable on the day you place your order and will be displayed on our website before we ask you to pay. The total cost of the order is the price of the products ordered plus the appropriate delivery charge. Full payment must be received before any goods are dispatched. All goods remain the property of JAK Silks until full payment has been received.
We shall be entitled by notifying you to cancel any contract in whole or in part to the extent that it for the purchase of a product the price of which was, in error, stated incorrectly on the website. The cancellation should be limited to the extent of this product.
Payments are processed by PayPal, a trusted leader in online payments which allows you to shop safely without sharing your financial details. Don't worry, if you don't have (or want) a PayPal account; you can do a one-off payment from your bank account or by debit or credit card from within the PayPal site.
There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases.

DISPATCH AND DELIVERY
Orders received before 12.00 noon Monday – Friday (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and all Bank Holidays) will be dispatched within five working days provided the product ordered is in stock. We try to ensure that all products displayed are readily available, although JAK Silks cannot guarantee online availability because we rely on our suppliers.
We will send you an email message to tell you when we have dispatched your order.
The charge for UK delivery is £3.50. Delivery is free on orders over the value of £55 with a delivery address in the UK.
Orders with a UK destination will be delivered using Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class. A signature will be required upon delivery. This Royal Mail service aims to deliver your parcel the next working day after it has been posted but this is not guaranteed.
We deliver to most destinations worldwide. If you require delivery outside the UK the delivery cost depends on the destination country. Please contact us if you require further information.
The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the customer's credit or debit card company.
If you are a customer outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for importing goods which you are lawfully able to import and for the payment of import duties and taxes of any kind levied in your country. You will be liable for any import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. You are advised to check the latest applicable local requirements before placing an order.
Late and Lost Deliveries
Any order discrepancies relating to missing/lost goods must be reported to us in writing via our contact form at least seven working days after the time your order was dispatched.
We cannot replace lost goods until 15 working days after the date of dispatch (25 working days for international goods) - this is when Royal Mail classes goods as being lost.
Sometimes, when goods are delivered to places of work, they are tracked as being delivered but the customer has not received them. If this happens, it is possible your goods might have been delivered to a post room or to a colleague within your company and someone else will have signed for it. In such cases, you can request a proof of delivery certificate from the Royal Mail website www.royalmail.com by filling in a signature request form.
Please note that we do not refund or replace goods that are tracked as being delivered. For this reason, we always recommend that you arrange for goods to be delivered to a secure address.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
We hope you will be delighted with any product purchased from our website, but if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we guarantee to refund or exchange it when you return it to us in an unused, undamaged condition and in the original packaging. Refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment.
Your return should be received by us within 14 days from the day on which you received the goods. A full refund, excluding delivery costs, will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods. We will notify you of your refund via email once processed.
If you are returning goods to us for an exchange or a refund (other than for defective products or products delivered incorrectly by us) this will be at your own expense, i.e. you will be responsible for the cost of re-packing and returning the goods. The products are your responsibility until they reach us. For your own protection, we would advise you to obtain proof of postage when you return products.
JAK Silks is unable to accept any responsibility for goods that fail to reach us when proof of postage has not been obtained by the customer, and in this instance no refund will be issued, and it is the customer's sole responsibility to file a claim with Royal Mail or other shipping agency for the missing goods.
If the goods you return are damaged in any way, we shall be entitled to deduct the cost from your refund.
Your original delivery costs will not be refunded unless the product you received from us was sent in error or is faulty.
Returns received outside the 14 day time frame are accepted at the discretion of JAK Silks and can only be exchanged providing the goods have been returned unused.
Cancellation of an order
In addition to our Returns Policy, you have the right to cancel your order at any time before you receive the goods you ordered. Please do so by completing our contact form.
If these goods have already been dispatched when you contact us, you may return them within 14 days of receipt of delivery to receive a full refund excluding the cost of delivery.
All complaints received will be taken seriously.
Any complaints by a third party or anonymous individuals will not be considered.
We will not investigate a complaint which has been initiated after 14 days of the incident in question.
All complaints should be addressed informally in the first instance to JAK Silks via firstname.lastname@example.org where one partner will consider the situation with the aim to resolve it.
If this is unsuccessful, then a formal complaint in writing should be addressed to JAK Silks, The Old Stables, Snitterby, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 4TP where further investigation by another partner will occur.
An acknowledgement will be received within 5 working days of the complaint. We normally require up to 15 days to gather evidence and respond to any complaint. If, because the nature of the investigation requires it, the timescale needs to be extended, the relevant partner will write to the complainant informing them of the reason for the delay and to propose a new deadline.
The response will outline if the complaint is justified, partially justified or not justified along with any remedies required arising from the findings.
Due to the nature of the business, an appeal stage can be addressed via the third and final partner and their decision is final.
